Meet Rick Holmstrom, CEO of Menlo Equities

Meet my friend Rick Holmstrom, CEO of Menlo Equities. I was introduced to Rick five years ago through a close mentor (shoutout to @Cynthia Keely). I still remember sharing with him about purchasing my first property and how I wanted to continue scaling in the real estate space. At the time, I barely knew what an escrow was tbh, lol.

Fast forward to today—I had the opportunity to catch up with him over brunch and share everything that’s happened since. Thank you, Rick, for inviting me over –  the food was yummy!

When I asked Rick if he had any advice for young entrepreneurs like myself, he offered a simple but powerful reminder:

"The score will take care of itself."

That line hit home. So often, we focus on the end result, but in reality,

We should be focusing on the process. Put in the work, do the hard things, and the results will follow.
The journey at Collective Acre has not been easy, but we stuck to the game plan and trusted the process, even when times were tough. Rick echoed this sentiment as he shared stories of perseverance—navigating previous down cycles, learning from mistakes, and always staying prepared for what’s next.

I’m incredibly inspired by how he’s scaled Menlo Equities into an extremely efficient asset management and investment company. What stood out most was Rick’s intentionality—his willingness to explore new asset classes strategically, even when it meant stepping outside familiar territory. His disciplined approach to diversification, guided by long-term vision rather than short-term trends, was a powerful reminder that growth often requires thoughtful evolution. Amazing to hear Rick’s story of how they entered the data center asset class.

Just wanted to share this moment. Let me know if you found it helpful, I want to know yall’s thoughts!
